Happenings at Christ the Redeemer

As Christ the Redeemer Anglican Church, we walk the Christian life together. Our faith is not private - it is lived out in worship, service, and shared discipleship. To serve the Church is to take our place in the Body of Christ, building one another up and bearing witness to the Gospel. Rooted in Scripture, shaped by the sacraments, and strengthened by prayer, we seek to be a faithful presence in our community. Together, we follow Christ and invite others to know His grace.

We have moved to a new location and time for our Sunday services.

The Divine Liturgy service begins at 10:00 AM in the side chapel at West Highlands Methodist Church, 17 S. Union St, Kennewick, WA (across the street from former location.) To get to the chapel, go in through the front doors of WHMC. The chapel is located on the right side of the atrium. God willing, we will see you soon!

Spreading the Word

Let us share the beauty, truth, and joy of the catholic faith!

As the Lord continues to grow our parish, this is a wonderful time to invite others to come and see what God is doing among us. With our new location and earlier service time, more people than ever can join us for worship and enter into the life of Christ and His Church.

Consider inviting a friend, neighbor, or family member to the Divine Liturgy.

A simple invitation can open the door for someone to encounter Christ in Word and Sacrament.

Book of Common Prayer Book Club

Saturday, June 6| 10:00 AM - in the Chapel

The morning will begin with Morning Prayer, followed by a 30-minute class on how to pray the Daily Office using the 2019 Book of Common Prayer.

The class will be led by Jason Raines with guidance from Father John.

Please bring your Bible and, if possible, a 2019 prayer book.

However, all are welcome, even if you do not yet own one.

Attendance is free!

Christian Catechism Class Program Offering (C3-PO)

Catechism Class will begin at the end of September 2026 and continue through the end of March 2027 in preparation for the Easter Vigil, when catechumens—those preparing for Holy Baptism, Confirmation, or reception into the Church—are sacramentally welcomed into the life of the Church. Until then, you are encouraged to begin reading through our Anglican Catechism, a summary of Christian belief and practice rooted in the Scriptures and the ancient faith of the Church.

The Catechism

You can pick up a free pdf version of the catechism, To Be A Christian, or purchase a copy on Amazon.

Or, download the app here for $4.99.

You are invited to take our online class here.

Opportunities to Serve

Join us in serving our church community and make a difference! We are looking for warm-hearted volunteers to greet newcomers and provide them with service booklets and music—just let Fr. John know if you are interested. If you love reading, we also need Scripture readers; contact Louise Calibo to get on the Readers' Schedule. Musicians are welcome to join our worship team, and youth eager to learn about serving at the altar as acolytes can connect with Fr. John or Neil Corrigan.

If you have other ministry interests, feel free to discuss them with Fr. John—your passion is always welcomed!

Divorce Care - An Opportunity to Serve

Divorce is one of life’s most painful challenges, and many who go through it struggle with isolation, grief, and uncertainty. DivorceCare is a church-based support program that provides a safe space for healing, offering biblical guidance and practical tools to navigate life after divorce.

Fr. Richard Bate is organizing a DivorceCare ministry at Two Rivers Correctional Institution in Umatilla, OR, to support divorced men within the prison. He is seeking volunteers—ideally those who have experienced divorce themselves, whether men or women—who feel called to serve in this ministry. Volunteers will help facilitate discussions, offer encouragement, and be a source of hope to those seeking healing and restoration.
